Propagation & Cultivation
Operculina turpethum is cultivated in tropical climates using well-drained sandy loam soil rich in organic matter. The plant is mainly propagated through stem cuttings, which root easily, while seeds can also be used after soaking to improve germination. Cuttings or seedlings are planted during the monsoon season with proper spacing and light irrigation. Regular weeding and moisture maintenance support growth, and the medicinal roots are harvested after about 10–12 months.
