Description

  1. Habit : Tree
  2. Habitat : Evergreen and semi-evergreen forests, also in the plains
  3. Leaves : simple, alternate
  4. Flowers : bisexual, white, fragrant
  5. Bark : grayish blotched with white and green
How to use
  1. The bark is used to treat cough, asthma, leprosy, skin eruptions, ulcer, wounds, dysentery and anemia.
  2.  The resin is useful in chronic bronchitis, tubercular glands, hemorrhoids, diarrhea and ring worm. 
  3. The seed oil is used as an antibacterial and is useful in chronic rheumatism.

Depurative, expectorant and carminative.

Propagation & Cultivation

By seeds and apical stem cuttings with 2-3 nodes. Seeds are allowed to germinate in nursery bed, ploy bagged when 3 months old, and field planted after 1 year.

Planting: Spacing adopted is 2mx2m or 3.5mx 3.5m.
