- Treatment of Psoriasis : The leaves are cleaned well,made into small pieces,then soaked in coconut oil in a wide open vessel and then exposed to sunlight daily.After achieving desired consistency, it is filtered and this oil is helpful in treatment
- Diarrhea & Fever : Bark powder is used,seeds are also used.

The plant grows slowly to moderately and starts flowering at 5–8 years. It adapts to various soils, thrives on dry, sandy sites, and tolerates shade. It responds well to coppicing, produces root suckers, and withstands high uranium levels. In India, it can be affected by leaf spot disease caused by Cercospora wrightia.
