Description
- Habit : Shrub
- Habitat : Found growing along river banks or on poor soils.
- Leaves : glossy and thick,lanceolate, arranged in pairs or whorls of 3 along woody stem.
- Flowers : fragrant,5 petals, in clusters, on the end of each branch.
- Fruits : small narrow capsules, drooping and pod-like, split when dry to release fluffy seeds.
How to use
- Decoction of bark and leaves grounded in oil used to treat skin diseases.
- Leaves boiled in water and drank to cure malaria, induce abortions and reduce swellings.
- Crushed leaves are used as a local application to head in headache

Propagation & Cultivation
It is propagated through stem cuttings.Plant oleander in early spring or late summer/fall. Dig a hole twice as wide as the container and equal in depth. Add compost if needed, place the plant at the same soil level, and fill halfway with soil, water, then fill and water again, keeping leaves dry.
