Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : grow in loose, well-drained sandy loam or clayey loam soils
- Leaves : simple, alternate to sub-opposite,upper surface is bright green and smooth
- Flowers : Small, dull white to yellowish-green bisexual flowers
- Fruits : A smooth, hairless drupe measuring roughly 3 to 6 cm long.The fruit starts out light green and matures into a yellowish-grey or golden-brown color

How to use
- Wounds : Boil the dried fruit or powder in water to create an antiseptic wash for cleaning external wounds
- Boots immunity : Mix half to one teaspoon of kadukkai powder with warm water or honey and consume before bedtime.
- Kadukkai water extract acts as a mouth rinse, effectively combating salivary streptococcus mutans.
Propagation & Cultivation
Terminalia chebula is mainly propagated from seeds, which require pre-soaking in water or clipping of the thick, woody shell to break dormancy and successfully germinate. For optimal cultivation, the young saplings should be planted in well-drained sandy loam soil in a location that receives full sunlight, tropical heat, and regular moisture during their early years of development.
