Description
- Habit : Creeper
- Habitat : Sunny, warm climates (18–28°C), typically cultivated in well-drained, fertile soils
- Leaves : alternate triangle-shaped or palmately lobed leaves shape ,green in color
- Flowers : five-fold and short-stalked flowers are single or few in stalked, zymous inflorescences that arise from the leaf axils and stand uprigh ,lavender to purple-lavender in color

How to use
- Antioxidant : Regularly consuming boiled or baked tubers (especially purple or orange-fleshed) provides significant antioxidant and nutritional benefits.

Propagation & Cultivation
Propagated vegetatively via 25-30 cm vine cuttings taken from nursery-grown tubers, planted on 25-30 cm high ridges, spaced 60 cm apart, in June-July for rainfed or Oct-Nov for irrigated crops Well-drained sandy loam or silt loam is ideal. Plough 3-4 times to achieve a fine tilth and create ridges 25-30 cm high, spaced 60 cm apart.June-July for rainfed; October-November (upland) or January-February (lowland) for irrigated.
