Propagation & Cultivation
Collect healthy seeds from ripe fruits during November to December, preferably from older mother trees, and store them in a refrigerator for up to two months. Before planting, soak the seeds in a fungicide solution for four hours and discard any rotting ones. Plant the treated seeds in potting trays filled with a soil mixture and cover them with plastic wrap to maintain moisture. Once new shoots appear, transfer the seedlings from pots to nursery bags to prevent root penetration. Ensure they receive direct sunlight, as a temperature of around 33°C supports optimal growth. With proper techniques and skilled labour, many healthy seedlings can be successfully grown into strong trees.
