Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : Along banks of streams in evergreen and shola forests
- Leaves : simple, alternate, clustered at the tip of branchlets
- Flowers : bisexual, white, in axillary racemes
- Fruit : a drupe, oblong or ellipsoid, green
How to use
- Rheumatism : Decoction of the bark is used as a remedy for rheumatism
- Antiseptic : Stem bark is given after delivery as an antiseptic.

Propagation & Cultivation
Plants can be propagated both by seeds and air layering. However, air layering method was very successful and several small plants were produced through this method.Seeds improve germination after soaking in sulfuric acid for 15 minutes and then washed in lukewarm water for nearly 24 hours.
