Description

  1. Habit : Shrub
  2. Habitat : grows well in sandy soil or on dry and rocky slopes near the sea in full sun
  3. Leaves : opposite, tufted on the branches
  4. Flowers : two-lipped, purplish-blue and white flowers
  5. Fruit : composed of 4 subglobose to obovoid nutlets
How to use
  1. It is used to flavour various dishes, both sweet and savoury
  2. Promotes hair growth : When massaged into the scalp, rosemary essential oil has been reported to accelerate the development of new hair

Propagation & Cultivation

Rosemary can be easily propagated from cuttings.In early to midsummer, cut 10cm pieces from new growth and strip off the bottom leaves. Put the cuttings in a pot of compost and keep them moist. They will root by autumn when they can be re-potted and grown before planting along borders in spring.
