Propagation & Cultivation
The crop is easily grown from seeds without pre-treatment. Seeds are collected in July–August and October–November and stay viable for up to three years. Sow them in March–April in polybags with equal parts soil, sand, and farmyard manure. Germination takes 7–10 days, and seedlings are ready for transplanting in 45–50 days. Direct sowing in the field leads to uneven growth.
