Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : Moist deciduous forests also in the plains
- Leaves : simple, whorled, estipulate
- Flowers : bisexual, greenish-white in terminal umbellate cymes.
- Seeds : 5-6 mm long, flat, commate at both ends.
How to use
- Burns and Boils : The milky latex of the plant is used to treat wounds caused by burns and boils.
- Malaria : The bark of the tree is used in the treatment of toothache, malaria and rheumatism.
- It is also used as an antidote to snake bite.
Uses
Malarial fevers, abdominal disorders, diarrhoea, asthma and rheumatic swellings.
