Description

- Leaves : leaflets narrowly oblong or elliptic to lanceolate
- Flowers : deep purple to violet.

How to use
- Worms from ulcer : Leaf juice removes foul discharges and worms from ulcers.
- Dullness of hearing : A decoction of the leaves with long pepper is given in catarrhal fever with heaviness of the head and dullness of hearing.
- The leaves can be used fresh or dried for teas, supplements, essential oils, and culinary flavoring.

Propagation and Cultivation
It is propagated by seeds. The best time to start plant from seed is in spring after the last frost. Soak the tiny seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to improve germination rates.Sow seeds 1⁄4 inch deep in pots or trays with seed starting mix. Keep the soil moist and provide sunlight. Germination takes 1-2 weeks at 65-70°F.Once seedlings have 2 sets of true leaves, thin them to 12-18 inches apart. When they reach 6 inches tall, transplant into the garden.
