Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : Dry deciduous forests, also widely planted
- Leaves : imparipinnate, alternate,
- Flowers : white, axillary spikes
- Bark : grayish-brown, vertically striated
How to use
- Ulcers : Decoction of the fresh leaves are antiseptic and is used in ulcers and eczema.
- Tonic : Gum of the bark is a demulcent tonic;
- Prevent Scabies : Pills made from the leaf paste are given to cure scabies along with bath with the leaf boiled water.
- Jaundice : Leaf juice is given in jaundice

Propagation & Cultivation
It is a hardy tree, grows well in saline soils and drought conditions.It propagates easily by seed without any pre-treatment,though it can be regenerated by vegetatively.Seeds are collected from June-August.Suitable for planting in roadsides.
