Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : Moist and dry deciduous forests, also in the plains
- Leaves : simple, opposite, margin entire
- Flowers : yellow with orange-pink shade
- Fruit : a drupe
How to use
- Diarrhea : Gruel prepared from the fruit of the plant with sugar and water
- Fever : Cold infusion of the plant is given with sugar
- Ulcers/ Wounds : Leaf juice is used as a wash to heal this.
- Furniture : It is used for furniture,planks,musical instruments.

Propagation & Cultivation
It is propagated through seeds.Thrives well in shade in the temperature range of 300C – 470C.It is a light demanding tree. It does not tolerate drought but it withstand in light frost condition. Seed formation occurs in May-June. Seeds are dried well before germination.
