Description
- Habit : Climbers
- Habitat : Semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests .
- Leaves : whorled, 4 in each node, equal or unequal
- Flowers : greenish-white
- Inflammation & Skin diseases : Paste with honey applied
- Treatment of burns : Ghee processed with manjatti ,raktha chandanam and murva is used externally.

Propagation & Cultivation
This plant requires support, grows mostly in loamy, humus-rich soil in high-rainfall regions and can be propagated through seeds or two- to three-node root cuttings; planting stock may be raised in nurseries in January using seeds from dried ripe black fruits, sown in beds either in rows or broadcast with a thin layer of soil and organic manure and regularly watered, and after germination, seedlings with two to three leaves are transplanted into polybags, while cuttings treated with rooting hormones or 3000 PPM IBA achieve about 90% success, though seeds are preferred for large-scale cultivation due to their cost-effectiveness and 80–85% germination within 20 days
