East Indian arrowroot prefers well-draining, loamy soil rich in organic matter, which helps retain moisture while allowing excess water to escape.Select healthy rhizomes with at least one growing point to ensure good growth. Cut them into 4–6 inch sections using a clean knife, making sure each section has a growing point. Replant the cut sections immediately in prepared soil to reduce stress and encourage quick establishment.
