Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat :
- Leaves : long,pinnate with an odd number of 15-31 leaflets which are dark green on top and light green below
- Flowers : light green to dark green and then a deep purple just before the fruits appear.
- Fruits : long, green and fleshy, about 4-8 cms long and resembles the star fruit in taste.
How to use
- Syrup of the fruit is useful in relieving thirst, febrile excitement, and also in some slight cases of hemorrhage from the bowels, stomach and internal hemorrhoids.
- Fruit itself, in the form of curry, is a useful dietary article in piles and scurvy.
- Flower infusions are used in treating coughs and colds.
