Propagation & Cultivation
It is propagated through seeds. To start propagating mahogany seeds, the first step is to collect the seeds. Mahogany seeds are found in woody brown capsules that can grow up to 7 inches (18 cm) long. Look for these capsules on or under mahogany trees in your area, typically between January and March. Once you've collected a few seed pods, dry them for a few days on newspaper. When they crack open, shake out the small brown seeds inside. Allow these seeds to dry for a few more days before preparing to grow mahogany tree seedlings.
