Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : Moist deciduous forests, widely planted as ornamental plant
- Leaves : paripinnate, alternate
- Flowers : bisexual, yellow, in axillary drooping
- Fruits : a pod cylindrical, black,woody
- Seeds : ovoid, pale brown, immersed in pulp.
How to use
- Constipation : 15-20 grams of stem bark is collected,added with 2 cups of water, boiled and reduced to half a cup,filtered. This decoction is orally consumed to relieve constipation.
- Jaundice : A fist full of tender leaf buds or yellow colored leaves are taken and soup is made by adding salt,j aggery and pepper. This can be taken in place of Rasam as a soup.

It can be propagated through seeds.The seeds should be cleaned and decayed earlier are now beginning to sprout. From the fallen bunches of the plant, new shoots are emerging.This is the stage where the seeds start germinating.Wetlands are most suitable for the growth of this plant. In the muddy soil, the seeds start sprouting within 2.5 centimeters depth.
