How to use
- Asthma : Rhizhome powder mixed with honey and taken internally to cure coughs and asthma
- Dandruff treatment : Powdered tuber is used as a hair wash in dandruff.
- Headache : Rhizome paste is applied on forehead to cure headache.
- Leaf juice is used for the treatment of sore eyes, sore throat, swellings

The plant is propagated by splitting of rhizomes which are stored in cool dry place prior to planting.The crop is harvested 6 -7 months after planting when leaves start drying up. Rhizomes are dug out, cleaned and washed to remove adhering soil particles.
