Description
- Habit : Tree
- Habitat : Semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests, also in the plains
- Leaves : simple, opposite or alternate, clustered at the tip of branchlets
- Flowers : bisexual, greenish-yellow, in axillary spikes
- Fruit : a drupe; seed one, ellipsoid.
How to use
- Cough ans Asthma : Powder of the seed is given with honey after meals
- Diarrhea : Fruit is burnt and given with milk
- Oil prepared from the seed and is externally applied in Vitiligo

Propagation & Cultivation
Seeds are the best propagation material, collected in May–June when fruits turn yellow, with good yield cycles of two good years followed by one or two poor ones; seeds should be gathered from the ground, shade-dried, and stored in gunny bags for up to a year, though fresh seeds germinate faster, while saplings are raised in nurseries from July with monsoon onset, sown in prepared beds or polybags with organic manure in a 2:1 ratio, and germination can be improved through seed pre-treatment.
