Description

Propagation & Cultivation
Seeds are collected from high-yielding trees, extracted after overnight soaking, shade-dried, and sown in nursery beds with organic matter, mulched for faster germination, which occurs in 15 days, while air layering is done in January for vegetative propagation; 9-10 month-old seedlings (25-30 cm) are planted at 6m × 6m spacing with a 1:10 male-female ratio, fertilized with FYM and NPK in split doses, with Paclobutrazol application enhancing flowering and yield, and fully developed green berries are harvested, producing 20-25 kg of dry berries per tree annually.
